After much speculation, theories, and leaks regarding who’s being added to the roster of Marvel Rivals, the developers officially announced that the Fantastic Four will be coming in Season 1. A new trailer released today showcased each member Mr. Fantasic Reed Richards, Invisible Woman Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, and The Thing Ben Grimm. In addition to the first official look at the Fantastic Four, the new trailer revealed the theme behind Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which will launch next week on January 1, 2025, at 1 am PST.

Eternal Night Falls finds Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane which scatters the Darkhold pages. This leaves Doctor Doom and Dracula with the opportunity to plunge the world in darkness and eternal night unleashing Dracula’s army of vampiric creatures. The Fantastic Four joins forces with the roster of iconic Marvel Heroes to battle against Dracula to break the mystical darkness with science.

So far, there has been no official word on how each member of the Fantastic Four will be released throughout the season. Reliable Marvel Rivals leaker XoLEAK has provided information that the Fantastic Four will be released in pairs. There will be two at launch and two which will be released mid-season. There has been no information about which characters will be paired with one another. Another tidbit of information that may have been revealed is each character’s role. Mr. Fantastic speculated to be either be a Vanguard or a Strategist, Invisible Woman will be a Strategist, Human Torch will be a Duelist, and The Thing is set to be a Vanguard.

In addition, XoXLEAK may have also revealed which heroes are getting buffed and nerfed for the first season. Storm, Wolverine, and Cloak and Dagger are getting buffed. Captain America and Venom are getting movement buffs; while Hela and Hawkeye are getting nerfed.

We don’t have to wait long to see what two Fantastic Four characters will be released and all of the other official buff and nerf details when Eternal Night Falls launches next week.
