It was recently announced by the NetEase Games that the new Hellfire Gala Event is coming to Marvel Rivals this Friday, May 2nd in the middle of Season 2. The event will include new skins, rewards, and players will get to vote for the star at the Gala event. The new update is set to come out at 2 A.M. PT, 5 A.M. ET, and 4 A.M. CT.

In the trailer, players are shown new skins for different heroes such as the ‘Damisa-Sarki’ skin for Black Panther, and the Wolverine Patch skin which is free during the event’s runtime. There will also be other cosmetics that players can unlock as well such as the Emma Frost emote, Chrono Tokens, and more.

The new update focuses primarily on the Hellfire Gala event itself, which also occurs in Marvel comics as well. Players will be able to explore the island of Krakoa and can join the Gala Star Vote up to 10 times to create a custom Gallery Card. The hero with the most votes from players will be awarded a new Hellfire costume, which will be available for free during the next Hellfire event, according to an article from DualShockers.

Along with the new event, there will also be a game update that includes bug fixes and hero fixes as well. Strategies for Adam Warlock, Cloak & Dagger, Luna Snow, and Mantis have received buffs to help their survivability. Captain America also received an update where his health has been reduced from 650 to 600. Doctor Strange also received a reduction in his ultimate ability and now the energy costs has decreased from 3400 to 3100.

Along with that, Groot also received a rework on the Flora Colossi’s ability to isolate enemies and block damage. His health for his Ironwood Wall decreased from 700 to 600. There are more updates for other heroes as well, and also Team-Up Abilities. Captain America and Winter Soldier’s team-up ability received a buff where when they leap to a teammate, Stellar Impact will provide 50 Bonus Health to teammates within range.
