Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the narrative-driven ensemble adventure with Captain America and Black Panther, was initially slated to release sometime this year. However, that will no longer be the case. The game, which is being led by industry veteran Amy Hening at Skydance New Media, will now release early 2026. The Marvel 1943 team wrote this on social media:

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra follows Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s as they struggle to overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy. Together, alongside Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in occuiped Paris, they must join forces to stop a sinister plot that threatens to turn the havoc of WWII into the ultimate rise of Hydra.

No official gameplay has been released yet, but the game made a splash with its reveal due to utilizing Unreal Engine 5, showcasing everything that the engine can do  , including real-time cinematics, Nanite, and volumetric rendering, as it was explained during the State of Unreal presentation at GDC 2024.

Last year, it was revealed that Skydance Games is partnering with PLAION to publish the game worldwide.
