MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed “Beyond Early 2026”

The upcoming game from Skydance Games, MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra has announced that they are delaying the release from its original holiday 2025/early 2026 window in a post on X from November 6, 2025. Regarding the delay, Skydance Games wrote, “To fully realize our vision for MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra, we’ve made the decision to shift our release window beyond early 2026.” The Skydance Games team has not stated when the release is being delayed until.

MARVEL1943: Rise of Hydra will be an action-adventure game inspired by Marvel Comic’s 2010 series Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers, and will focus on Captain America (Steve Rodgers) and his tenuous alliance with Black Panther (Azzuri) as they work to stifle Hydra’s rise to power. Players will swap between four characters (Rodgers, Azzuri, Howling Commandos’ Gabriel Jones, and Wakandan Spy Network’s Nanali) as they work through Occupied Paris during World War II.

The game was originally announced back in October 2021 and officially teased during the D23 Expo on September 9, 2022, though the full title wasn’t released until the Game Developers Conference 2024. Marvel also announced the voice actors for the upcoming game. Khary Payton (King Ezekiel from The Walking Dead) will be voicing Azzuri and Drew Moerlein will be voicing Steve Rodgers. Marque Richardson Jr. (Kenneth from True Blood; Dear White People) will be voicing Gabriel Jones while Megalyn Echikunwoke (Mortal Kombat 11’s Jacqui Briggs) is voicing Nanali.

Those interested in the game can keep an eye out for updates on Skydance Games’s X account here or on their official website here.
