In order to celebrate Mario Kart Tour’s two year anniversary, Nintendo has added a major update. Eight new tracks have been added all inspired by major cities throughout the globe. Now you can take a mini vacation via your Android or iOS devices to Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Paris, Sydney, London, and Berlin. Each city themed track is adorned with recognizable landmarks and monuments, so be sure to keep an eye out as you race to find them all.
In addition, there are several new characters available to match the playful vacay aesthetic including Painter Luigi and Vacation Peach. Blue Birdo Turbo has been added as new rewards for placing in the top six of the 2nd Anniversary Ranks and Birdo (Blue) has been added for those who make it into the top three. The Tier Shop’s lineup has been upgraded with new characters, gliders, and vehicles and will be upgraded a second time once the second half of the special celebration begins. If this wasn’t enough, the Token Shop has also been upgraded with new characters to earn. The celebrations are already in full swing, and will only stay on the app until October 5th, 2021, so be sure to check it out before then.
If you haven’t had a chance to play Mario Kart Tour yet then now could not be a better time. The game is best played with friends, due to the multiplayer options. Race against your friends and compete for the best rank. Players can collect new cars and characters to try to get the best combination for racing.
