Just when we thought there weren’t going to be any previews of this months Plus free games, PlayStation makes a special announcement via the PlayStation Blog. Along with other great games and news outlined earlier today, this month’s free games offer a variety of adventures for you to enjoy.
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee – New ‘n’ Tasty is a PlayStation classic and will be released for PlayStation 4. This re-mastered game features upgraded visuals, controls, and sounds. Travel along with Abe as he desperately tries to save his fellow companions from being slaughtered by a meat facility. Valiant Hearts: The Great War, also available for PS4, follows the lives of those who suffered during the First World War. The game was actually inspired from stories from the developmental team’s friends and family.
Papo & Yo a fantasy adventure game follows the story of Quico and his rather odd, but close friend Monster. This game has you solving puzzles and travelling through their magical world while forming a unique bond with Quico’s beast friend. If you like solving crimes then Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is for you. Play as the renowned detective using your wit and intellect to solve gruesome crimes. Both Papo & Yo and Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments are available on PlayStation 3.
As mentioned in my earlier post, OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood is scheduled for release this week and will be included with this month’s Plus lineup. Available to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, players can try out the new modes and “refined combo system.” Another war inspired game, CounterSpy will be making its way onto PS4, PS3, and PS Vita today. This colorful game inspired by the Cold War has you tasked with covert op missions and keeping the balance between the world superpowers.
This month’s selection is sure to keep you busy and offers a nice mixture of genres for you to choose from. All of these titles will be up later today on the PlayStation Store. Which game are you most interested in? Please let us know on Facebook and Twitter.
