Madden has finally announced their quarterback ratings for the upcoming Madden 23 game releasing on August 19! Surprisingly, there are no quarterbacks in the 99 overall club. Many of the highest-rated quarterbacks are household names, but the order in which they are ranked may surprise many fans.
Tom Brady will enter Madden 23 as the highest-rated quarterback at a 97 overall. Brady will enter the upcoming season at 45 years old but is still one of the most efficient and effective quarterbacks in the entire league. Just two years removed from winning the Super Bowl, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be looking to reclaim their title as the best team in the NFL.
Back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers claims the second highest rating for the quarterback position in Madden 23 as a 96 overall. Rodgers finished last season with 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns to help lead the Green Bay Packers to a 13-4 overall record. Although the Packers lost Davante Adams during this past offseason, they will still be a threat to win the Super Bowl for the first time since 2011.
The third highest-rated quarterback in Madden 23 will be Patrick Mahomes, who is entering the game rated a 95 overall. Mahomes has been one of the league’s most consistent quarterbacks for the Kansas City Chiefs and helped lead the team to two playoff wins in the previous season. Mahomes and the Chiefs lost receiver Tyreek Hill during this offseason, but they will still enter the season as one of the top Super Bowl favorites.
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills enters Madden 23 as the fourth highest-rated quarterback at a 92 overall, followed closely by Joe Burrow at a 90 overall. Josh Allen has established himself as one of the best all-around quarterbacks, leading the Buffalo Bills to multiple playoff wins in the last few seasons. Joe Burrow is also becoming an established NFL quarterback after leading the Cincinnati Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance in just his second season.
The sixth highest-rated quarterback to begin Madden 23 is Dak Prescott, with Justin Herbert coming in as the seventh. Dak Prescott plays for the Dallas Cowboys and will enter the game as an 89 overall. Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers will be an 88 overall after just barely missing the playoffs this past season.
Tied for the seventh highest overall among quarterbacks are Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson at 87 overall. Jackson is a former MVP for the Baltimore Ravens, who are the favorites to win the AFC North in the upcoming season. Wilson has spent his entire career with the Seattle Seahawks but was traded to the Super Bowl contending Denver Broncos.
Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams comes in as the tenth highest-rated quarterback in Madden 23. The Rams were one of the most dynamic teams in the NFL this past season, which resulted in them winning the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals. This season, Matt Stafford and the Rams will be looking to continue their recent success.
