

On March 31st, developer Syphono4 and publisher Pretty Soon have released an official release date trailer for their upcoming game Lyca. The game is set to release on April 7th of this year on PC through Steam, and players are able to wishlist the game now or play a demo version of the game for free before purchasing. It has not been officially stated if the game will be coming to console.
The developer of the game made an announcement on the Steam page as well, telling players that Lyca will be $4.99 or equivalent, and that there will be a 20% launch discount. Along with that, there will also be a variety of bundles that will be released on launch day as well, with some of the games that inspired the developer create Lyca.
Through the trailer, players are shown what the gameplay will look like, plus the skill tree that players will be able to expand over time. Lyca is a relaxing and small game about restoring a deserted wasteland into a growing meadow. Players will help the magical wolf named Lyca roam the land, gather resources to help rebuild the meadow, and also unlock new upgrades to the upgrade tree.
As the player runs through the brown, empty land, Lyca the magical wolf will turn the land into a green valley. The upgrade tree has a variety of different abilities that will help the player along their journey to rebuild the meadow.
There are some features that the developers and publishers have noted in their Steam description page. There will be an “incremental progression while gathering resources, a vast upgrade to the tree to unlock, unlockable “idle” and “endless” modes, simple and relaxing gameplay, three to four hours worth of gameplay to beat the campaign, a cozy and relaxing royalty-free soundtrack, and planned supported language at launch: English, Chinese (simplified, traditional), Korean, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.
