Lumen: Lost Passages is the first project being developed by Buttery Games, a new indie game studio. The recently formed Canadian studio was founded by a group of childhood friends with a dream to create interesting and entertaining games. The studio consists of a diverse staff with various talents and backgrounds, not only in game development. The studio appears eager to bring new ideas to the game industry, and imaginations to life. Right now, the team is working hard to complete their first mark on the industry, Lumen: Lost Passages.

The game appears to follow the adventures of Lumen, the Soul Warden, as he traverses the Underworld seeking answers to the mystery surround the halt in the flow of souls from the mortal realm. All deceased souls must find their way down into the Underworld, where they will be reincarnated into a new life, continuing the infinite cycle of rebirth. It is Lumen’s duty as the Soul Warden to watch over the souls entering to ensure the process continues. However, when the cycle looks to be broken, it is up to Lumen to investigate. A dangerous journey awaits, filled with monstrous and demonic enemies. Can Lumen bring order back to the Underworld?

Lumen: Lost Passages is currently a work-in-progress project with no projected time of release. The game has been in development for about a year now, and the studio is finally ready to introduce the game to the public.
