Lord Of The Rings Online Adds Seventh Expansion With Minas Morgul

Fans of Lord Of The Rings and Lord Of The Rings Online may be ecstatic to hear that the massive multiplayer online game has received a seventh expansion. The seventh expansion, Minas Morgul was released on October 29, 2019 and adds a number of new features that are sure to spice up gameplay. According to Gamespot, the new expansion seeks to uncover various mysteries surrounding the second age. The press release states that, “With the defeat of Sauron and destruction of the One Ring, the remnants of Mordor’s armies struggle in the power vacuum, and it will be up to players to help ensure that the last traces of evil are routed from Middle-earth.” This seems to imply that a majority of the quests appear to revolve around cleaning up whatever orcs are left from Mordor in order to keep Middle-Earth safe.

Players will be able to the various “secrets and visions of the Second Age” by using Isildur’s shade in the “Mordor Biesieged” location. Doing so will allow players to experience various past events from the Second Age, similar to a flashback. The new expansion also increases Lord Of The Rings Online’s level cap to 130 and also features seven new instances. The expansion also introduces a 12-person raid in which players will combat Shelob the Spider. Two other additions in the expansion are the Stoutaxe Dwarf race becoming playable, and 250 new quests being added.

The expansion will cost fans around $40 for the standard edition, while the Collectors Edition will cost players $80. For hardcore fans with a little more spending money, they can purchase the Ultimate Fan Bundle for $130. The Standard Edition will give players five one hour 100% XP Boost Scrolls as well as 5 Reputation Supply Boosts. The Collectors Edition will grant players a character level boost of 120, some exclusive armor and a cloak, a shepherd dog pet, and a Mount of the Great Alliance, as well as 10 scrolls of empowerment and a small crafting carry-all.
