Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced that Little Nightmares III will be released on October 10, 2025. The news came during the Little Nightmares Showcase, which revealed several updates about the series, including a brand-new trailer and a deeper look at the Carnevale chapter. The company also shared that the franchise has now sold over 20 million units since the first game launched in 2017.

Developed by Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III follows two new characters, Low and Alone, as they try to escape a strange and twisted world called the Spiral. Their journey takes them through the Carnevale, a broken and creepy funfair full of danger and mystery. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are now available for most platforms, with Switch pre-orders to follow later.

There are several editions to choose from. The Standard Edition is the base game, while the Digital Deluxe Edition includes an expansion pass and extra costumes. The Mirror Edition comes with collectibles like a figurine, an art book, and the soundtrack. A special Spiral Edition, only sold on the Bandai Namco Store, adds a music box base, a Nome figure that holds a controller or phone, and a collector coin. Anyone who pre-orders the game will get a Dark Six costume. Pre-ordering a digital copy on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC also gives early access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, which launches the same day. This upgraded version of the original game features better lighting, ray tracing, new checkpoints, and helper options to make the experience smoother.

Another new game was also announced. Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes is in development at Iconik Studio, though details are still limited. The series is expanding beyond games as well. A second season of the Sounds of Nightmares podcast is in the works, following the show’s reach of over 2 million listens. A new comic series called Descent to Nowhere is coming in October from Titan Comics. It tells two stories, one about a girl named Hush and another about a detective named Myra looking into missing children. Finally, a teaser for a stop motion project was shown, created in partnership with Taller del Chucho. More info on this is expected later.
