Little Nightmares 3 Pushed to 2025

Fans of Little Nightmares 3 will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer to see the game’s release. Supermassive Games, the developer of Little Nightmares 3, has announced that the next title in the franchise will be delayed to 2025 on a post on X/Twitter.

According to the announcement, the delay is due to the teams at Bandai Namco Europe and Supermassive games wanting the game to be at its best quality. While there hasn’t been any update on the specific changes being made, the announcement assured fans that they will give an update later this summer.

Initially announced in Gamescom 2023, Little Nightmares 3 is the third installment in the horror platform puzzle game series known as Little Nightmares.

Players will take control of two friends, Low and Alone, who are trapped within the Spiral, a “cluster of dystopian lands.” Players will need to guide the duo away from a plethora of new enemies and around the obstacles from new and daunting areas like the mysterious desert of Necropolis, a fun fair, a desolate and grim factory, and much more.

Thankfully, players won’t have to do this alone. Little Nightmares 3 will feature for the first time ever, online co-op. That said, those that prefer to play solo will have an AI companion.

The first two games were developed by Tarsier Studios, but when the studio stepped away from the series in 2021, development was moved to Supermassive Games for Little Nightmares 3, while while Bandai Namco Europe retained the rights to publish.

Little Nightmares 3 is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
