Little Bird Studios’ Carry the Count Releases Its Official Announcement Trailer

Carry The Count, by developers Little Bird Studios and publishers Cathedral Studios have released the Official Announcement Trailer on YouTube for the aforementioned game. The game follows “The Count” who’s harnessed the abilities of his multiple henchmen called the “freaks,” to meet his “darling Romilda,” via the Trailer.

The Announcement Trailer starts with two people playing instruments while the player, one of the freaks, looks on in first person view. Before showing the view of a castle, as the Count calls his freaks, two of them: “Plunk” and “Stink” appear up for the task. Then the trailer gives a view of Romilda and the Count before the adventure starts, the player takes charge helping the freaks “move” the count, literally in a brown coffin all the way to Romilda. The player seems to be able to create a big freak man copy that comes with a handy grapple, and with a control board in hand the player seems to be able to control its actions, of course with some mistakes.

They travel through towns, and mountains with loose rocks, as the Count explains the reason Romilda wants him, which seems to be for food. The team goes through freezing “mountains” with slopes, and a broken ice pathway with some kind of scythe hammer variation hanging from the roof, threatening to hit anyone who jumps. The Count also can be harmed as bashing his coffin into a rock, lowers a good part of the Counts’ health bar. They are not alone on their journey as they meet viking looking men carrying axes, and have to encounter dangerous pathways. When doing so, it seems the tall freak man can be used for whatever they need, as he’s used as a plank to transport the count in one instance.

As they go on, they sail from a monstrous fish, try to get away from a magical whirlwind-like storm and go to a store run by an old woman in order to gain “ITEMS” needed to fix up the coffin. The player continues finding gems, taking an “Antidote,” catapulting one member of the team into the air, drinking coffee and more. The Trailer ends noting that Carry The Count will be available on Steam. The game’s Steam page also notes that the game can be played as a single player game or  a “co-op,” for up to “1 to 4 players online.”
