Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii Officially Announced, Launching Worldwide February 28, 2025

Publisher SEGA and developer RGG Studio have announced and revealed the next entry in the Like a Dragon series. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a modern-day pirate adventure featuring everyone’s favorite Yakuza, Goro Majima.

Picking up one year after the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Goro Majima ends up washed ashore on a desert island amid the scattered remnants of a shipwreck. Waking up unable to remember even his own name, Majima meets a boy named Noah who saved his life. Along with Noah’s help, Majima travels across the vast ocean in search of clues to piece together his lost identity. Eventually, they get caught up in a conflict between cutthroat criminals, modern-day pirates and other scoundrels over a legendary treasure.

As Majima, players will assemble a one-of-a-kind crew while upgrading their ship, the “Goromaru,” battling enemy pirate ships and conquering seas and hidden islands alike. In combat, Majima will deliver explosive combos and aerial takedowns with two fighting styles: Sea Dog and Mad Dog. In the swashbuckling “Sea Dog” style, Majima will dual-wield short swords or deploy a variety of pirate tools. The “Mad Dog” style utilizes speed, agility, and flair to defeat enemies into submission.

There are three versions available to pre-order. The Standard Edition includes the game. The Deluxe Edition includes DLC customization and character packs. The Collector’s Edition includes he base game, Deluxe Edition DLC Code, and special limited merchandise including a replica of Goro Majima’s eye patch, treasure coin pin, and more.

Two bonuses will be given to players who pre-order the game. The ” “Ichiban Pirate Crew Set” DLC adds popular Like a Dragon character Ichiban Kasuga and his pet crawfish Nancy to Majima’s crew of “Goro Pirates,” as well as the “Ichiban Special Outfit Set” DLC that allows Majima to change into two of Ichiban Kasuga’s iconic outfits.
