Life is Strange: Reunion Officially Revealed set to Release on March 26, 2026

After a listing appeared on the official PEGI site a couple weeks ago, during a live stream today, Square Enix has officially unveiled the next entry in the beloved Life is Strange franchise. Aptly titled Life is Strange: Reunion, the game follows the series’ original protagonist Max Caulfield again following her return in 2024’s Life is Strange: Double Exposure along with the long awaited return of fan favorite Chloe Price for the first time since 2017’s Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Chloe isn’t the only one returning from Before the Storm either as Rhianna DeVries also returns to voice her in this game as well. The game is touted as the finale to the Max and Chloe Saga of the series, and fans won’t have to wait too long before they get to see the conclusion of the franchise’s most beloved characters’ story.

Life is Strange: Reunion is a direct continuation of Life is Strange: Double Exposure as Max is still working at Caledon University. This time around Max isn’t solving a timeline hoping murder mystery, but a trying to stop a fire from burning down the school and saving the lives of her friends. To do this, Max finally uses her Rewind powers again to go back three days prior to find a way to save the day. As revealed in the live stream, Max merging the two timelines during her last outing is what brings Chloe back into the fray without canonizing a particular ending of the original game. Due to this, Chloe now has memories of both being alive and dying and nightmares about Max’s friend Safi from Double Exposure. Though, the game still keeps whatever your choices were in previous games as the live stream showed how a scene plays out differently depending on your choice from the ending of the original game.

We also got to see a snippet of gameplay during the live stream. As aforementioned, Max’s Rewind power for the first time since the first game. Players will be able to use her Rewind power freely throughout the game or use it to specifically rewind to her last action or choice she made. Then, for the first time in the series, players will be able to control multiple characters as Chloe is also a fully playable character. While not having a super power of her own, Chloe’s back talk ability, which returns from Before the Storm, will be key for her as she can use it to gain information and access places that Max wouldn’t be able to. The live stream also confirm that you will be able have Max and Chloe either stay best friends or build a romantic relationship with each other.

Life is Strange: Reunion is set to release on March 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. You can watch the full reveal stream below:
