LEGO Horizon Adventures was one of the games revealed at the 2024 Summer Games Fest. It will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PC, but not Xbox during the 2024 holiday season. The game may be a product of a collaboration between LEGO and Guerilla – the same collaboration that produced the Tallneck Lego set. Although the Tallneck Lego Set is rated 18+, the game itself is for all ages.
LEGO Horizon Adventures is an action adventure game developed by Amsterdam based studio Guerilla Games (known for the Horizon series and Killzone) and UK based studio Studio Gobo (known for collaborating on games like Hogwarts Legacy and Redfall). LEGO Horizon Adventures is a playful take on the Horizon games with a unique visual style. The story follows Aloy. Guided by a hologram of a scientist named Elisabet, Aloy embarks on a journey to defeat Helis, a leader of a sun cult. The plot is similar to Horizon: Zero Dawn (2017) with all the visuals and environment rendered with LEGO inspired visuals.
Like other traditional LEGO games, there are building and customization elements. Players can decorate the village called Mother’s Heart and don customizable outfits for the player character.
The game is designed for two player play but also is designed for online co-op. The game, instead of split screen co-op, features a full screen for both players to play around in. An online subscription is required for console players, according to the official PlayStation blog.
