Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham to Showcase at Comic Con

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced via press release that they are set to host a Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham extravaganza at Comic Con on July 27.

Developed by Traveller’s Tales, Lego Batman 3 will be showcased in a variety of ways at the San Diego Convention Center. A panel will be hosted by notable figures involved with the game, namely Traveller’s Tales’ Game Director Arthur Parsons and Executive Producer Phil Ring.

A number of voice actors in the game will also be featured, including Troy Baker, who also lent his voice to Batman: Arkham Origins as the Joker, Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey of Skyrim fame, Dee Bradley Baker, Josh Keaton, Scott Porter, and of course, Batman legend Adam West. Many of the cast are reprising their roles from previous Lego Batman games. The panel will begin on Sunday, July 27 at 1 pm  at Room 6BCF.

Following the panel, a meet and greet at the DC Comics booth (#1915)  at 2.30 pm will allow fans to have their memorabilia signed by Baker, Willingham, Bailey, Bradley Baker and Keaton.

Finally, the game itself will be available for fans to try out at the LEGO and DC Comics Booths and the Microsoft Gaming Lounge located at The Hyatt (#100). A live demonstration will also be conducted by Arthur Parsons, and the scheduling of these demos are as follows:

o   DC Comics booth (#1915): Thursday – Saturday, from 1:00 to 1:15 p.m.
o   LEGO booth (#2829):Thursday– Sunday,from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m.

True to its subtitle, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will take place in space and feature Batman, the Justice League and the Legion of Doom in their attempt to stop Brainiac from running amok with the Lantern Corps’ Power Rings. Aside from the obligatory Batman and Robin, players will also have 150 characters from the DC universe to choose from in this game.

The game is being developed for the PC, Mac, and PlayStations 3, 4 and Vita, Xbox One and 360, the Wii U, 3DS, and iOS and is slated for release sometime this year.
