According to a report from Twitter user @ALumia_Italia, Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones officially has release date. The leak came as a result of an Xbox Store listing, which could indicate a November 8 release date. In addition to the release date, the listing also pointed toward the game including a large amount of extra content available.
According to the leak, there will be missions called the Bloody Bones’ Legacy Mission and The Ashen Corsair Mission. It is likely that each of these will be available to play on initial release and could attract fans to the game as more gameplay and news is released. Additionally, there will be a Smuggler Pass Token and Digital Soundtrack and Artbook for players as well. Finally, the game will incentivize players to pre-order by including a Skull and Bones™ Pre-Order Bonus, along with a Premium Bonus Pack. The two packs will surely help convince players to pre-order the game rather than waiting for the official release date.
The game was originally announced in 2017 at the E3 event. Since then, the game has been pushed back and adjusted many times. Senior Reporter at Kotaku Ethan Gach reported that the release was supposed to be released sometime in the summer of 2022 before being pushed back to September, and now being released in November. Similarly, a closed beta test was expected to begin in June but was canceled.
As Ubisoft looks to create a successful game with Skull and Bones, they will surely continue releasing more information once the release date comes closer, while also continuing to add more content into a game that is already expected to be full of gameplay. Despite being pushed back multiple times, the leak of a November 8 release date should encourage fans that the game will be coming out around that time.
