League of Legend’s New Spirit Blossom Event Blooms with New Champion

Announced earlier this month, the new Spirit Blossom event for League of Legends showcases the game’s newest champion and set of exclusive floral-themed skins for select champs. Riot announced earlier this year that they would be adding two new champions as a part of the game’s special summer events, and today they revealed the fawn champion via Twitter. The newest teaser video for the event also shows off the game’s latest champion, Lillia. “The Bashful Bloom” Lillia is fawn who resides in a forest, protecting it from any harm or trespassers. The official lore page offers a description of some of the fawn Lillia’s motivations and powers, “hiding just out of sight, Lillia now helps people’s dreams be born, drawn forward by glimpses of who they could be, and by what may be trapped beneath their tangles. By helping humans realize their deepest wishes, Lillia realizes her own, the bud on her head blooming as she is filled with joy.”

The teaser released on Twitter also included special splash artwork for Lillia and the skins for all champions that received content for the event. Lillia will be a Jungle character, and a full list of abilities can be found in the abilities showcase video here.

Along with the release of a new Jungle champion, unique Spirit Blossom Festival-themed skins have been added for Thresh, Yasuo, Vayne, and Teemo. The League of Legends Spirit Blossom Event will be starting on July 22nd and last for a large part of the remaining summer. Riot has also released the official 10.14 patch notes that will be releasing later this week, along with the exclusive Arcanist skins and changes for the champion Pyke. The patch will also include the release of the returning game modes Nexus Blitz and Conqueror Clash.
