League of Legend’s New Gunslinger ‘Samira’ Arriving with PsyOps Skin Line and Event

Announced via a series of gameplay and reveal trailers by Riot, Samira “The Desert Rose” will be the next champion added to League of Legends. With an arsenal of multiple guns and a sword, Samira appears to be primarily focused around damage and her stylish combo-based gameplay. With a short gameplay trailer, without details on abilities and their descriptions, Samira appears to function like a character straight from the Devil May Cry or Bayonetta series, as she moves around shooting or slicing at anything in her range.

According to the official Abilities Rundown page, Samira’s passive Daredevil Impulse functions as a style-based rating system that can buff her speed the higher players score. The description for her passive according to Riot is given as, “chaining non-repeating abilities (and basic attacks) increases Samira’s Style grade by one letter, from “E” to “S” rank. Every Style grade gives her bonus movement speed. Samira can also damage enemies at range with her guns or with her sword in melee range; the latter dealing bonus magic damage.” The Skin Spotlight Youtube channel has also released an official video showcasing and describing Samira’s passive and abilities using her in-game assets.

Along with the release of the new stylish gunslinger Champion, Riot will be releasing the new “PsyOps” line of futuristic-inspired skins for Sona, LeBlanc, Caitlyn, Ezreal, Master Yi, and many more. The full character list, along with lore information, for the PsyOps skin line can be found on the official PsyOps wiki page. The new skin line will also include chroma color sets for each of the character skins. Shamira and the PsyOps skins are set to release in the coming weeks, along with League of Legend’s PsyOps event and K/DA’s “The Baddest” album comeback.
