Earlier today David Gaider, writer of games like Dragon Age: Inquisition and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, has left BioWare studios. He took to twitter early this morning to make the announcement.
In a message to Polygon, Gaider confirmed that he made the call to leave stating:
It was indeed my decision, one not made easily since BioWare’s been very good to me, and parting is amicable. It’s simply time to move onto a new challenge. As to where I’m headed next, that announcement will come in due time – today’s about saying goodbye and packing up.
Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare Canada later took to Twitter as well confirming Gaider’s departure from the gaming studio stating:
Gaider’s career with BioWare lasted 17 years. During this time he worked on games like Baldur’s Gate 2 where his designs would eventually lead him to bigger projects, including writing characters like HK-47 for Knights of the Old Republic.
He had an amazing career with BioWare and we can only wait and see what the future has in store for David Gaider.
