Prior to the High School expansion for The Sims 4, an update was released for the base game. Unfortunately, it seems like the update may have caused some bugs/glitches to make their way into the game. One of the bugs is that some Sims age up way too fast for some reason. The other bug is that some Sims are becoming attracted to family members. The developers have acknowledged the issues and are currently working on fixes for each issue.
Hey Simmers! We are currently investigating instances involving Sims auto-aging up in saves using the Short or Long lifespan. We recommend temporarily playing in or creating new saves with the default/“normal” lifespan, as we work towards a solution.

If you login to The Sims 4, there will be a pop-up warning on the bug, encouraging players not to play Sims marked with short or long lifespans.
Players went to social media when they noticed that their Sims started getting a want for other family members. On Reddit, user ProfoundEnd talked about how they noticed their Sims wanted to have a romantic relatioonsip. A user on the EA Support forum reported a bug when their Sim wanted to get into a relationship with their son. Twitch streamer AshleyRoboto saw her Sim starting to develop romantic feeling for her brother. Wants are based off a Sim’s personaility and traits. This can include caling a friend, dating a specific sim or being abducted by aliens. Meeting a Sims’s wants earns points that can be used to buy things. Overcoming fears also earns points.
I just wanted to acknowledge that the Want to date a family member is something we know about, we’ve reproduced ourselves, we’re working on it. We’re looking to get it fixed ASAP, thanks for all the bug reports, we appreciate it. We’re of course working on the aging bug too.

A Sims developer wrote on Twitter said that the team has reproduced the bug and are working on a fix for it as well as the aging bug.
