On September 26, the world of The Last of Us got ransacked by the spread of the Cordyceps virus and became known as “Outbreak Day.” Developer Naughty Dog celebrated the occasion with multiple ways of getting The Last of Us Remastered as well as other kinds of downloads that add to the overall game play.
The Last of Us Remastered, along with its stand alone DLC expansion and some multiplayer add-ons are on sale by a “significant level.” It is a one-week deal which means it will expire on October 3. Many kinds of The Last of Us apparel and accessories are on sale for 20% off on the PlayStation Gear Store.
Naughty Dog did more than provide discounts of The Last of Us merchandise to celebrate “Outbreak Day.” Naughty Dog partnered with the poster making company Mondo to make a beautiful poster to commemorate The Last of Us. The poster shows an arm holding a knife. Vines are growing out of the person’s arm and butterflies are landing on those vines, on the knife and flying around the arm.
Artist Kevin Tong is the one who made the design. He worked alongside with Naughty Dog in order to create it.
The poster went on sale September 26 at mondotees.com. It’s important to note that sales are limited for the poster, so if you want it, you should get it as soon as possible. Each poster is numbered and is signed by Tong himself.
The original The Last of Us was a smash hit from its original release in July 2013 for the Playstation 3. The Last of Us Remastered was released for the Playstation 4 in July 2014. Metacritic scored the game at 95 and the user score of the game was a 9.1.
There is a highly speculated sequel to The Last of Us in development, but it has not been confirmed. The Last of Us is supposed to be made into to a movie, but the development of the movie hasn’t progressed very well.
The deal expires on October 3 and posters will be on sale until supplies run out.
