A gameplay trailer for La Quimera has recently been released by developer and publisher Reburn. Players are shown what the game looks like visually as well as the gameplay players can expect to see. At the end of the trailer, Reburn announced that La Quimera’s launch date will be April 25th, and players who are interested can sign up for closed beta by April 12th. The game will be available on PC through Steam.
The gameplay trailer shows footage of characters, enemies, weapons, and the environment. The trailer also shows off some features such as weapon combinations with EXO skills, either play single player or play with friends, and study the enemies.
The official Steam page goes more in depth about the story that the game is going to tell, it says, “Year 2064. The majority of nation states have become extinct. A series of natural and human-caused catastrophes in the 2030s and 2040s triggered the collapse of global systems, led to the fragmentation of human communities. The political entities in this new world are microstates and even amidst the current inter-state and corporate conflicts, typically see no point in maintaining their own armies, having to rely on mercenary forces — the “golden age” of private military companies, so called PMCs, has arrived.”
Players will take the role of a PMC operative and they will embark on a high-rick campaign in the futuristic and dystopian world of Latin America, battling against rival factions. Players will be able to engage in the story-driven FPS game either by themselves, or they can have friends join in their journey.
Players will be able to acquire the right tools and weapons to combine and customize their exoskeleton with a range of parts to combat against enemy types in the player’s playstyle. There will be a variety of enemies that are light arms or heavily shielded by various equipment. The robotic enemies will also have the ability to fly, crawl on ceilings, and scale walls, and some are more advanced than others.
