LA Cops brings the 70s back

Ever wanted to know what it was like to patrol the streets as a cop in the 70’s? Well now  you can in LA Cops, a top down shooter that brings everything back about the 70’s in one game. In all honesty it is a lot like Miami Vice (which came out in 1984), with its unique art style, humor, and good old shoot outs between two cops and some baddies.

This game is developed by indie game studio Modern Dream and published by Team 17. They have done a terrific job bringing retro styles to modern gaming. If it suits you, check out the video below and enjoy the action. Don’t forget to enjoy the music, ya dig?

For those of you don’t know, Team 17 was founded in 1990, is based in the UK,  and is better known for games like Worms: Ultimate Mayhem (released in 2011) and Superfrog (1993). This team is not new to the block, they know how great games work and will make you laugh while you are playing it. So if you like indie games, I would keep my eye on Team 17 and any future releases they may have.

Now lets talk a little more about what everyone wants to hear about: the game itself.  LA Cops is what they are calling a solo coop. You control two different cops at the same time, and you will have 13 unique levels that you can play on, each with different scenarios you will play through. So make sure you have your tactical game on when playing. They have multiple weapon choices for you to take out those bad guys with, such as; pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, groovy uzis and funky Grenade Launchers (like the names?).

So if you enjoy aviators, mustaches, and funky beats, then LA Cops is the game for you. This game will be released on Xbox and PC. Sorry PlayStation fans, you won’t be seeing this game anytime soon. So make sure on March 13 2015 that you pick up LA Cops.
