Krafton Western Shooter Kill The Crows Launches on Steam

5minlab, an independent video game studio backed by Krafton, has gained recognition for developing titles like Smash Legends, Baam Squad, Toy Clash, and many others. Just recently, the studio finally released its latest project.

5minlab’s newest game Kill The Crows launched five days ago on Steam. Currently available for purchase on the game’s Steam pageKill The Crows is one of the newest releases from Krafton’s subsidiary developers. The game is a top-down, action shooter set in a twisted, lo-fi version of the Wild West. However, this title is no typical Western.

Kill The Crows follows gunslinger Isabella as she embarks on a journey of bloody revenge in this Western landscape. She fights against hordes of enemies that have all been transformed into crow-like creatures. As the story unfolds, players will learn how such a macabre transformation could’ve occurred. Players step foot into an “unforgiving world” where their journey can be uprooted by even a single stray bullet. As such they’ll need to move and react quickly to stay alive and keep fighting as the screen becomes increasingly crowded with foes and flying bullets. However, players can defend themselves by rolling in any direction to sidestep incoming attacks or ducking behind cover to avoid bullets.

Isabella’s revolvers are capable of taking out most threats, including bosses, in a single hit even with standard shots. Since enemies can do the same, Kill The Crows features high-stakes action as players must use defensive tactics to survive. More skillful players can access a unique mechanic called “Showdown”, which allows them to deliver special attacks like temporarily freezing time, marking a group of targets, and taking them all out at once. Further, players can unlock new gear and abilities to fight more powerful foes.

Kill The Crows is available on Steam for $4.99 with a 10% discount for launch week. The game also features Korean and English language support.
