Earlier this week it was announced by Koami’s community manager for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Robert Allan Peeler, that there are no plans for story-based content to be added to the game.
At last week’s Tokyo Game Show it was announced that there will be new content introduced to the game in the form of costumes. Konami showed off DLC that included new outfits for Snake, and his horse. A release date for the DLC has yet to be announced.
Peeler also announced on Twitter that Camp Omega, a setting in the prelude of the game, will make its return in Metal Gear Online. The game is set for an October release for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
