Klei Entertainment Shares New Launch Trailer For Oxygen Not Included Celebrating Its Official Release

Klei Entertainment, a talented indie studio based in Vancouver, celebrated the launch of its survival-simulation game, Oxygen Not Included. The project was first released in its Early Access period back in 2017. Two years later, the game has come a long way from its alpha stage with a number of improvements and adjustments to the lore, characters, environments, and gameplay mechanics. A list of these changes can be found here.

Oxygen Not Included is a space simulation in which players manage a growing population of Duplicants, helping to ensure their progression and overall survival in the harsh conditions of space. In these dark regions, “you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth, and sustenance are constant threats to your colony’s survival.” Oversee the digging of underground bases, the collection of resources, the depletion of said resources, temperature control, the generation of oxygen, recycling waste, and even choosing your own power source.

Survival is not only limited to food, shelter, and oxygen. You will also need to pay close attention to the psychological well-being of your colony. “Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.” If overwhelmed with stress, your colonist may become a hazard to the rest of your base. Keep them happy by skillfully managing all their needs and wants, such as fun activities, high food quality, and great accommodations.

Oxygen Not Included is now playable for PC players through the Steam Store. The game is currently experiencing a special promotion where players may purchase the game at a 33% discounted rate. This promotion will be available until August 6th, 2019.
