Ironhide Studios returns with their fan favorite tower defense game series Kingdom Rush, with the 5th title in the series named Kingdom Rush Alliance. A surprise announcement happened today with a trailer to accompany it, this is following Ironhide’s last release Junkworld. Following Kingdom Rush Vengeance and Legends Of Kingdom Rush, the armies of Darkness and the warriors of Liniriea will have to join forces to take down an old mysterious evil force. Who knows what will await ahead, but tread carefully as this alliance may just be temporary. There are many new features coming to the new release including new heroes, new towers, and of course a brand new playable campaign. Vez’nan returns leading his armies of Darkness as they join forces with the good of Linirea.
The game officially has 12 brand new heroes and one of the nest new features is that you can have not one but two heroes playing at the same time, this proves that this might be the most challenging Kingdom Rush game yet due to the much needed backup. The new heroes include Vesper the archer, Kosmyr the Red Dragon, Lumenir the blue dragon, Broden and their Griffin, Onagro the goblin mech, Warhead the metal behemoth, Therien the purple mage, Anya the vampire hunter, Torres the builder, Grimson the eldritch beast, Nyru the forest being, and Raelny the dark elf. There are also confirmed to be 15 towers come launch time with plenty more heroes and towers expected to be released post launch compared to previous games. The game is confirmed to have 16 playable levels, which that number is surely to grow come post launch content. It will be very interesting to see where the story leads us and if they in any way connect them to their other games such as Iron Marines and Junk World. The bosses also look to be as amazing and challenging as always. Kingdom Rush Alliance launches on July 25th and preorder is now open for Steam, app store, and the google play store.
