Square Enix has announced that their long-awaited Kingdom Hearts trilogy will be available for the Nintendo Switch on Feb. 10, 2022 via the cloud. In October 2021, Nintendo revealed that Sora, the main protagonist of Kingdom Hearts will be making his Super Smash Bros Ultimate debut as the last DLC character for the game. As such, it was only fitting to make Sora’s long-awaited arrival even more worthwhile by surprising fans with the announcement of the Kingdom Hearts trilogy coming to the Nintendo Switch via the cloud within the same presentation.
The Kingdom Hearts trilogy, which includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC), will be available for purchase on Feb. 10, 2022, via the cloud. According to Square Enix, the trilogy will be available for individual purchase or as an “all-in-one” cloud version collection called Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece. Free playable demos for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5, 2.8, and III are available now, and players can test their connection before purchasing. Also, if you purchase Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) by itself or through the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece collection, you will receive Advent Red Keyblade to use in that game as a bonus.
According to a blog post by Square Enix, fans will be able to play and experience 10 Kingdom Hearts adventures within the Kingdom Hearts trilogy. Here’s a list showing all the content included within each Kingdom Hearts collection:

This year also marks the 20th of Kingdom Hearts, and Square Enix will be having a 20th anniversary event on April 10th in Tokyo, Japan. The event will include mini-concert, a chat Q&A with the Kingdom Hearts development team, an exhibition, and more. For international fans, a video of the event will be available for viewing at a later date. Square Enix also plans to release new Kingdom Hearts merchandise made explicitly for the game’s 20th anniversary. You can preorder the Kingdom Hearts trilogy now as both the individual collections and the whole set are currently on sale. The individual collections vary in pricing but currently range between $31.99 to $39.99 with the sale right now. The Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece collection originally costs $89.99 but is currently on sale for $71.99.
