We’ve announced the release day for KINGDOM HEARTS III ahead of E3 at the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour-. I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned. Please look forward to other information, including a few trailers at E3. Thank you – Nomura

The anticipated sequel was first reveal way back at E3 2013, and it has had quite a bit of development issues and dry spells in terms of information and footage throughout the years. But this year, Square Enix and Disney have shown more than ever of the title. Last month, media outlets were given the chance to be the first ever group to play KH3. After the demo event, series director Tetsuya Nomura promised that big news for the game would be coming early this month. Well, it seems that Nomura abided by his promise as today they finally revealed the long awaited release date for the title, and it seems as they will continue to show more throughout E3 this year. Despite the good news, the trailer excerpt has not been released publicly yet.
Nomura apologized for not being able to deliver on the initial 2018 release window, but he did promise that there will be multiple trailers at E3 and a wealth of information coming about the game within the next few days. Delay or not, Kingdom Hearts III finally has a concrete release date.
