Kingdom Hearts has been a series dear to a large generation of PS2 players and the beloved Square Enix/Disney series has had many spin-offs that may confuse people who haven’t played all the games. So of course they are always out there to try to remedy this with HD versions and remixes that include all the spin-off games in a single package. Which is what we believed Kingdom Hearts 2.8 to be or is it 2.9 or are both a real game?
Just recently Gamespot has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 2.9 has been leaked in the form of a developer based in Osaka. The information came through a Kingdom Hearts dedicated fan site known as KH13, where they found the information ironically from an update to his LinkedIn page. Apparently this person worked on the game for ten months. So as much as we question whether new Kingdom Hearts games will be released sooner or in five years it looks like we will get our PS3 and PS4 releases of awesome Kingdom Hearts games in the near future. That’s right unlike Kingdom Hearts 3 most of the information seems to state that both PS3 and PS4 may be getting Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and 2.9.
So what’s in 2.9 it is hard to say right now without official confirmation but it seems like that dream drop distance will definitely be part of Kingdom Hearts 2.8. While 2.9 May be a different set of remixes or it may be Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD along with Dream Drop Distance and Birth By Sleep. Also in Kingdom Hearts news it is confirmed that a Big Hero 6 world is coming to Kingdom Hearts 3.
