In King of Seas, players will explore a procedurally generated world that is different every time they start a new game. Players will navigate their ship across the sea while meeting different characters, and aiming to find and complete different missions in order to become the king of all pirates. Careful strategy will be needed as avoiding storms and enemies are essential to survival. The game adapts to the player as naval routes change, and the difficulty increases with every conquered settlement. The game features a high level of customization as there are five types of ships that can be customized through equipment and skills. Players are able to choose from over twenty skills and three branches of talents, in order to fit their play style. The developers have also announced the post-launch roadmap for the game which includes a PC Tech update that features re-bindable keys, quality of life update, a Monster update, and mouse support.
King of Seas has now launched on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game is available for $24.99 on all platforms. Those who are unsure whether or not the game is for them are able to try a demo of the game on PC or Nintendo Switch.
