Killmonday Games, the gaming studio behind popular horror-adventure titles such as Fran Bow and Little Misfortune, recently celebrated their company’s ten-year anniversary. The festivities are planned to last around one week, with events happening from August 22nd until September 1st. The celebration has included a giveaway, temporary anniversary shop, challenge, and brand new game announcement. 

The August 2025 Killmonday Games Giveaway lasted from August 20th through the 25th. In order to enter the giveaway, fans had to either sign up or already be signed up for the Killmonday Games newsletter. 10 fans who fit the giveaway criteria won a promo code for 500 SEK, otherwise known as Swedish crowns, which could be used at Killmonday’s special anniversary shop. 

The Killmonday Anniversary Shop opened on August 25th and will close on September 1st. The store includes limited edition merchandise centered around Fran Bow and Little Misfortune. Items include t-shirts, hoodies, pins, artbooks, and plushies. When an order is placed, the customer receives a complementary postcard depicting Fran Bow and her cat companion Mr. Midnight. 

In addition to the anniversary shop, fans also were given the opportunity to receive merchandise through Killmonday’s Wacky Birthday Challenge. From August 23rd to the 29th, fans could submit various creative projects for a chance to win a Fran Bow or Little Misfortune bundle. Killmonday Games encouraged fans to submit various forms of media including “art, sculpture, or any other creation inspired by our games.” Both bundles included a plushie and stickers depicting the characters from their chosen game in addition to a Killmonday Games pin.

On the tail-end of the celebration, Killmonday Games announced a brand-new game. Similarly to Fran Bow and Little Misfortune, this upcoming game will be a point-and-click style horror and adventure game. The announcement also reveals characters from Little Misfortune who will be featured in the upcoming game, such as Little Misfortune, her fox companion Benjamin, and narrator Mr. Voice. The game is not merely a sequel to Little Misfortune, however, as the announcement also reveals that the game will include characters from Fran Bow. These include an older Fran Bow, her cat Mr. Midnight, and the kind-hearted skeleton Itward. At the moment, the game has no official name or release date.
