Killer Queen Black to Launch With Cross-Platform Compatibility This Winter

A new take on the arcade esport, Killer Queen, is on its way this year. Killer Queen Black will be attempting to revamp the game type and optimize for PC. The creators at Liquid Bit will try to reel in players new to the genre and create a challenging and competitive atmosphere for hardcore players too.

There are three different ways that a team can claim victory in Killer Queen Black. A team can either: win economically by filling their base with berries, win through military actions by killing the enemy’s Queen three times, or win by riding the Snail to victory! Players will have a choice of using five different weapons that include Swords, Lasers, Stingers, Lances, and Morning Stars. There will be two teams of four players each that will be set to battle it out on the six maps that will initially release with the game. Check out the short teaser trailer that Liquid Bit released a couple of months back:

Players, competitive and casual, can queue up online solo or with others in order to fill out a team. Three game modes will be available at the at the start with Quick Match, Ranked matches, and Custom matches that the players can play on or offline. Also, Nintendo Switch users will have the ability to create a “couch” four-player cooperative experience. Something that users of consoles and PC players have been asking for increasingly over the years has been cross-platform compatibility of more games. Here, the developers will be one of the few to date that will provide that feature, allowing Switch and Steam Store purchasers to play together.

Killer Queen Black is set to launch sometime this Winter for PC, Mac, and the Nintendo Switch. Prospective players can sign up for the online Beta on the developer’s website.
