Keep The Lights On, Dead by Daylight is Coming to Mobile Sometime in 2019

There’s a small confession that needs to be made. All the mobile games from the Top 10 Lists? They’re played at night, alone, and in the dark. Maybe with a nightlight and a notepad for some immediate notes. So what happens when it’s announced that one of the most stress-inducing multiplayer horror games is coming to mobile devices? Playing mobile games at night is going to start looking more like all the lights in the house are on. Which game? The ever evolving, and ever terrifying, Dead by Daylight:

Dead by Daylight has been around since 2016, having just turned 3 this year (and having done massive livestream from it which can be watched here). It has stuck around because of its unique asymmetrical game mechanics of 4v1, with 4 survivors facing off against 1 killer. Of course, these survivors have nothing that they can use to fight back. They can only distract, hide, and flee, all while trying to get enough generators done to open up the exit gates and live to see another day. While for killers, the goal is to stop the survivors from doing all of that, killing them one by one and sacrificing them to the Entity.

There have been some tweaking to the UI system, as it needs to be more accessible on a smaller screen, but the overall experience and core mechanics will still be the same. So still fleeing, hiding, distracting, turn on 5 generators, and escape. Or to make sure no one escapes death.

Currently, there’s only the release time for 2019, but fans can sign up for the beta-testing now over on the website for the mobile version of the game. For the time being, the people of the fog will be impatiently waiting to see how fear can start from their fingertips.

Dead by Daylight Mobile will be available for iOS and Android in 2019, with beta sign-ups happening now.
