The recently released fitness video game Jump Rope Challenge is seeing its first major update (that is probably already automatically downloaded for those that own it). This new update adds a variety of new costumes of iconic Nintendo characters for the bunny character to dress up as. So far there are costumes such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Toad, Wario, Isabelle, Link, Samus, and the Arcade Bunn, for those that love seeing nostalgic Nintendo characters come back into the mix. Along with these new costumes, there is also a chance to change the background( either manually or with an option that randomizes the background every day). Lastly, there is also the chance to perform the “double-under” technique with the jump rope as well.
A free update for #JumpRopeChallenge is now available, adding new costumes, backgrounds and even the ability to double-under!

Ever since its release in mid-June, Jump Rope Challenge has seen nearly 600 million jumps from players worldwide as they continue to keep up with their daily challenges and tasks. While this isn’t enough to de-platform Ring Fit Adventure from its fan-favorite pedestal, its still a significant and successful number for a free game that does not require that much movement, to begin with.
With the intention to get players active and moving around (while also being at home), Jump Rope Challenge was created by a small team at Nintendo from their homes amidst lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the (updated) description of the game says “For those who aren’t able to jump or are worried about disturbing the downstairs neighbors, players can bend their knees or move their arms to play the game without creating any noise. ” At the same time as this game being free, Jump Rope Challenge will be available on the Nintendo eShop until September 2020.
