In addition to the new fighters, a brand new stage was revealed, the Mayan City, which is set in Mexico from the Saint Seiya series. Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryu are two of the main characters in Saint Seiya, being part of a group that is dedicated to protecting the Goddess Athena while maintaining peace around the world. They both utilize their own special fighting styles which are amplified by their Pegasus and Dragon Armors, based on the constellations in space respectively .
In the trailer, Seiya and Shiryu both call upon the powers of their respective armors and dish out some high damage to their opponents with some flashy combos and special abilities. Seiya in particular can call upon the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius, one of the most powerful Golden Armors in the series, increasing his strength and speed to its absolute limit. Shiryu is no slouch either, as he summons his own Gold Cloth, the Libra Armor, to punish his enemies with its various weapons of destruction.
The roster for Jump Force is looking even more impressive after adding these two Shonen stalwarts. We’re still a few months away from the game’s launch, so it’s more than likely that we will see even more fighters revealed. Jump Force launches in February 2019 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A closed beta for the game is slated for October 12-14 which you can sign up for here.
