Minecraft Dungeons II is set to release on September 29th and as of today, August 20th, the pre-orders for the game are now available. Those who decide to pre-order the game will receive 2 additional hero skins, the Twisted cape cosmetic, and a Twisted chicken pet.

Those who have played the first game are familiar with the dungeon crawlers style. However, the sequel promises to bring a whole new plot and not one, but two worlds threatened by evil. It is up to the players to either take on the quest solo or with up to four friends, traveling mysterious locations to save both worlds.

Earlier this morning, an official gameplay trailer was uploaded onto Minecraft’s YouTube channel, revealing the rifts opening up within the realm, transporting players to a unique world called the Sift. There is a mix of old and new mobs for players to encounter. Each sure to test each adventurers skill and prowess.

The trailer reveals a Twisted Warden along with an intimidating copper monster that is sure to teach players the importance of powerful gear and weapons. A mob, whose name is yet to be uncovered, is shown appearing as jellyfish-like and menacing. There are also peaceful mobs such as a blue bunny mob known as Blub.

Minecraft Dungeons II will be available on Steam, XBox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and for both Nintendo Switches. For those pre-purchasing the game via Steam, the standard version is set at $29.99 and the deluxe edition is set at $49.99.

The deluxe edition features 4 hero skins, a Bulb pet, and a soul cape cosmetic. The purchase will also include the first and second DLC, which will be available to players upon their official release dates. Though more about the DLCs will be revealed later. Minecraft Dungeons II will also be crossplay compatible, same as the first game.
