Earlier today, it was announced that a new game based on the hit action film franchise John Wick is in development. The game, dubbed John Wick Hex, is an action strategy game from well known game director Mike Bithell, Lionsgate Games, and will be published by Good Shepherd Entertainment. The game is being developed “in close cooperation with the creative and stunt teams behind the films” as well.

The game is currently set to come to PC and Mac and will be an Epic Games Store exclusive upon release. The game is also set to come to other platforms, but those will be announced at a later date. Described as “fight-choreographed chess brought to life,” the game will put players in the shoes of the titular character as they “choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences.”
John Wick Hex will have a story mode with an original story made specifically for the game. Thus, players won’t have to worry about playing through the events of the films. Playing through the story mode, players will unlock a variety of new weapons, suit cosmetics, and locations. Thus, evolving tactics players use as they progress.
Speaking of the films, actors Ian McShane and Lance Reddick are set to reprise their roles and provide voice work for the game. With more of the cast being revealed at a later date, it is currently unknown if Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as the titular John Wick for the game.
So far, no release date or window have been announced for John Wick Hex as of yet. However, fans of the franchise won’t have to wait long to see its intense action again as John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum hits theaters next week.
