A new game has been announced for the popular indie game horror franchise Bendy, just in time for Halloween.
First spotted by indie horror news reporter JonnyBlox, the new game titled Bendy: The Cage, has been confirmed to be in production in a short trailer that revealed the game’s title.
While much of the newest game’s plot is still unknown, JonnyBlox confirmed that the protagonist from the original Bendy and The Ink Machine, Henry Stein, will be returning.
Bendy and the Ink Machine was an episodic survival horror game developed by a team of developers within Kindly Beast Studios named after the game’s fictional Joey Drew Studios. Players followed the story of Henry Stein as he returned to his old cartoon workshop at Joey Drew Studios after receiving a mysterious letter.
Following its launch in 2017, it gained wide praise from the game community mainly for its old animation aesthetic and lore and found it’s self as a part of the rapidly rising mascot horror genre that was first popularized by Five Nights At Freddy’s.
Despite a number of delays and other troubles to its development, Bendy and The sink Machine eventually fully released on PC and console in October 2018. A sequel game named Bendy and The Dark Revival launched, recently launched in November last year.
With Bendy The Cage starting its production, Bendy fans will likely not see a release date in the near future. Until then, fans can head over to the official Bendy social media accounts.
