In Jay And Silent Bob: Mall Brawl you play as the titular Jay and Silent Bob as they try to escape the mall after an incident that has them hunted by a swarm of mall cops. The game is an 8-bit beat ’em up in the same style as retro games such as Double Dragon and River City Ransom. The game can either be played solo where the player can strategically swap between the two characters or couch coop where two players control each character and work together.
Jay And Silent Bob: Mall Brawl features an original chiptune soundtrack. For the release onto PlayStation and Xbox, the game’s visuals and music has been upgraded to a higher quality, and these enhancements will also be available to owners of the game on Switch and Steam through a free update.
Jay And Silent Bob: Mall Brawl will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 20. The game will be available for $14.99. There will also be a physical release on PlayStation 4 with the Standard Edition costing $29.99, and a Collectors Edition that features the game, a retro cartridge sleeve, the soundtrack, and a poster for $54.99. Those interested in the game are currently able to purchase it on Nintendo Switch and Steam.
