The man, myth, and legend himself, Jack Black, has launched a new YouTube channel. The Hollywood actor famous for such films as School of Rock, Tenacious D, Shallow Hal, and more recently Goosebumps and the reimagining of the classic Jumanji has decided to test the waters of the gaming community, though those who remember Brütal Legend will know this won’t be Black’s first foray into the world of gaming. The new channel, called Jablinski Games, posted its first video teaser last week and the Internet is pretty much losing its collective mind.
The 28-second video features Black in what appears to be a small office with a few PC gaming setups, spinning around in a gaming chair. He opens the video, “Hey what’s up, it’s me Jack Black. This is my new YouTube channel, Jablinski.” The channel, according to the video description, “will have games, food, and life,” but whatever that man wants to do, sign me up. The comment section tends to agree; everyone seems to be on the edge of their seat with where this channel goes. The channel is already at 899k subscribers, and Black claims that it will be bigger than both Ninja and Pewdiepie. While a large order to fulfill, if anyone can do it, it’s the guy that defeated the Devil with rock and roll.
Since it’s Jack Black, the channel’s content could really go in any direction, but the description points to a focus on gaming, “I’m Jack black and I kinda like games.” The comment section, headed by hilarity from Black himself, claims that he is being held against his will by his son, who filmed the video, when all he wants to do is play Tracer.
The video concludes with Black making up a few words, poking a little fun at Pewdiepie and spinning around in his chair as a freeze frame commences. “So what’s jablin’ jables? It’s Pewdiepie,” he exclaims in a familiar high-pitched voice. The channel is up and running and will be posting videos every Friday, so we won’t have much more of a wait to see the scope of Jack Black’s genius manifested on YouTube.
