Many companies have come out in support of Roe v. Wade and women’s health following the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade. Many have come up with ways to help women and have come out with statements. These companies have even donated to help women be able to travel to get the help they need. Itch.io, the website for users to host, sell, and download indie games, announced that they are having a $10 bundle game sale where all the money they get will go towards getting women the help they need. The bundle runs from July 3 through July 13. It’s pay-what-you-want with a minimum price of $10.
This Bundle is only for indie games that 600+ creators have come together where they have put up over 700 games for players to buy for $10. As stated on the Itch.io website,
In light of the U.S. supreme court ‘s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and threaten and remove access to abortions, creators from across itch.io have contributed projects to this solidarity bundle.
So far the fundraiser has raised up to $185.432.10 out of the $200,000.00 dollar goal which will all go to the Collective Power Fund which will send the money to 20 different states that are in the United States. The fundraiser will end within 8 days (July 14, 2022). Players will not be able to download any of these games on any different site. The games can only be downloaded from Itch.oi site.
The site has asked that if you can give more money please do to help get to the goal that they have for abortions.
