For a very short time only, the Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia will be featured as a feasible character in an event in Iron Maiden‘s popular Legacy of the Beast mobile game. This partnership is only the second in-game band collaboration in this game. In prior years, the band Amon Amarth was the star of the game’s collaborations.
Scabbia’s character is named The Shadow Sorceress, and can only be unlocked by playing the Black Anima’ dungeon, which opened on June 7th at 5 pm PT. And it is only available for one single week. It is already June 9th, so hurry! But never fear, if you do not make the June 14th deadline, there are other avenues the game has provided to earn Scabbia’s character through July 5th, 2021.
When Scabbia was asked about her character in the Legacy of the Beast mobile game, she explained that: “My first experience with Iron Maiden was about 30 years ago, I picked up Piece of Mind because I was really impressed by the cover. They sounded like nothing I had heard before then and it was instant love!”
She also said: “I’ve always been attracted to video games. They’re awesome as they project you into a different dimension and allow you to live a different life, even if for a short moment. I prefer games with a storyline because I like to be embraced by it, get familiar with the characters I am playing with, and get involved at the maximum level.”
This is awesome news, and it is important to talk about what this news means for the mobile game world and the mobile game movement. More of these mobile game crossovers are coming to fruition, which means that the mobile game world is crossing over into other worlds. It is important to note these crossovers as they contribute to the possible longevity of mobile games in society.
