Similar to the first Injustice game, there will also be a mobile version coming out for it. At Comic-Con this year, NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon confirmed that there will be a mobile version released along with the game. However a release date has not been given yet so we cannot say that it will be released in the same time frame as the console versions, but it is good to hear that such a version will be released eventually.
Along with a mobile game there will also be a comic to go along with it, just like with the first installment. IGN quoted Boon on saying that he “always describe[s] the mobile game and the comic as the two children the game had that graduated and went on.” So for any future installments I guess we can expect there to always be a comic and a mobile game to come with it. Having a comic with a game like this is great since it is based on comic book characters, and has a well thought out story.
With this announcement it was also announced that Wonder Woman and Blue Beetle will be added as playable characters. This game looks to out do the previous one in the playable characters, story, and in platforms. Along with a mobile version a PC port is rumored to also be in the works, but we will see if more details will come out on that as Comic-Con continues. Injustice 2 is expected to come out next year, and as of now is confirmed for the PS4 and Xbox One.
