Developer NetherRealm Studios featured Scorpion in the first Injustice and it seemed to be pretty popular with the fanbase. This time around Sub Zero will be making his appearance in the sequel Injustice 2. Sub Zero was confirmed to be the next DLC character for Injustice 2 and will be released in the coming weeks. Creative director Ed Boon made the announcement on Twitter that the Mortal Kombat character will be joining the heroes and villains of the DC universe in battle next month on July 11. He was first revealed as a character in May along with two DC characters Red Hood and Starfire. The characters are all part of the Fighter Pack 1 DLC. This bundle includes the characters with the God shader pack along with a Power Girl Premiere skin.
Red Hood was released earlier this month as part of the bundle and for individual purchase. Fans also got a sneak peek of Sub Zero in action during E3. Some combat, cutscenes, and trademark moves for Sub Zero were displayed at the convention. Although there is much anticipation for this DLC character as well as the next there has been no word on the release of Starfire, judging on how the previous characters were released it might be possible that we may receive her in another month.
Although the bundle and the characters can be purchased separately anyone who has bought the Ultimate or Deluxe Editions of Injustice 2 will be able to get this perks for free. There are a total of nine DLC characters that will be released for the game.
