Independent Developer Taking Mobile Game Requests Through TikTok

There is an independent developer that is taking requests for the creation of various mobile games via TikTok. The responses and the results are truly something special. This is a new avenue of mobile game creation, and this developer is proving its viability every day. TikTok is the Gen Z freeform video clip app that has taken the world by storm. It is fun, light, educational, informative, and absolutely everything in between. There seems to be no reason it cannot take mobile game requests as well. Now, who is the developer behind this certifiably genius idea? It is a solo developer named Dan(@1dan.io). Dan has created over 80 so far, using his TikTok method. In addition to Dan’s astonishing levels of mobile game creation, he is entirely self-taught, and he promotes the fact that anyone can learn how to make games for free using Google and YouTube.

Dan does not make every game he gets requested to make, and he also makes some of his own games without requests. He recently developed

In addition to developing the new Titans 3D game, which has been picked up and published by Voodoo. Dan has nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok for his new eagerly tuning into his various mobile game creations. And although Dan might not be able to create every single solitary game he is requested to, he definitely does not discriminate against the weirdest of requests.

For example, he has created a game in which you throw hotdogs at people. And if that is not for you, never fear! He has created one that features pregnant women who fight each other using their offspring. Yes, quite literally. There is another one in which you can throw paper balls at your teacher. How awesome is that?

And it turns out that many fans are realizing that they have already downloaded some of his games without even realizing they were his.

Dan’s approach to mobile gaming and Dan himself stand for a possible shift in the mobile game world. Games do not need to come from massive multi-million dollar companies. They can be made entirely for free, by someone that learned how to make them entirely for free in their bedroom and from their bedroom. This could mean we could be seeing a lot more mobile games coming out more frequently than ever before, which will be so exciting. It will also be interesting to see how Dan’s approach through TikTok echoes throughout the mobile game world. And will the bridge between mobile games and TikTok also bridge more of the gap between TikTokers and mobile gamers? Only time will tell.
