Kicking off this year’s IGN Fan Fest is a new ID@Xbox Showcase with world premieres, Game Pass announcements, release dates, new gameplay and more from indie developers working on games for Xbox platforms. The presentation featured action-roguelikes, to card games, to cozy adventures, to game genres that don’t even have a name yet. Here is a rundown of everything that was revealed during the ID@Xbox Showcase – February 2025.
33 Immortals, the co-op action roguelike that brings togeether up to 33 players against hordes of monsters and gigantic bosses, is set to release on March 18.
Balatro, the award-winning roguelike that took the world by storm last year is now available on Game Pass. The game is also headed to Windows PC and a new update will bring themed cards based on Fallout, Assassin’s Creed, Civilization VII, Rust, Slay the Princess, Bugsnax, Dead By Daylight, and YouTube channel Critical Role.
Blue Prince launches on April 10 to Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and day one with Game Pass. The game commbines exploration, puzzles, mapmaking, and card game systems to create something truly unique and never seen before. Players will solve the mysteries of Mount Holly manor by literally piecing its rooms together, and solving mysteries hidden throughout the house you build as a result.
Buckshot Roulette, the indie title that transforms Russian Roulette with the addition of a shotgun and extra rules will be making its way to Xbox and Game Pass.
Descenders Next is coming to Xbox and Game Pass on April 9. Like its downhill biking counterpart, this sequel broadens its scope to include multiple ways to go really, really fast down a mountain.
Drawing from classic adventure platformers and games like Outer Wilds to create a time looping world where knowledge is your greatest weapon, Echo Weaver has players piecing together the story and shape of a collapsed utopia and escape the temporal prison you’re trapped within, one loop at a time.
The new trailer for Herdling shows more of how players will guide a herd of curious cattle across a runined world. The game is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC this Summer.
Hotel Barcelona is the long awaited collaboration between legendary designers Suda51 and Swery. The 2.5D action-platformer pits players against the horror-inspired denizens of the titular hotel. The new trailer showcases the mechanic Slasher Phantom, which summons echoes of the player’s past runs to aid them in battle. Hotel Barcelona will launch in 2025.
Jump Ship is a 1-4 FPS that puts players in charge of a spaceship and asks them to take on on-foot combat sections, seamlessly transitioning between the two. The game will be available in early access through Xbox Game Preview this Summer.
A new story trailer was released for the upcoming dlc for Lies of P. Overture will see Geppetto’s Puppet encounter a mysterious artifact that transports him back in time to the world of Krat in its final days of grandeur. The trailer also showcases Lea, the Legendary Stalker, on her relentless path of vengence.
The Lonesome Guild is the new game from developer Don’t Nod where players will embark on a heroic adventure as Ghost, a spirit who wakes to find they hold no memories. In this whimsical action-RPG full of heart, battles, and bonds that change everything, players will build their dream team, switching seamlessly between them to solve puzzles and fight their way through the collapsing world of Etere. The Lonsome Guild will make its way to Xbox Series X|S and other platforms this Fall.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the sequel to the beloved action-RPG sports a brand new full-3D isometric look – offering new challenges and rewards as a result. The new trailer spotlights the new hometown and shop, as well as the adventures in store.
In Outbound, players will scavenge materials, craft, and build in and on top of their empty camper van either alone or together with friends. Players will advance in technology and efficiently use energy to power their home, while adjusting their playstyle to adapt to new landscapes and changing environmental conditions. Outbound is coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
From the developers of the beloved Patapon comes a new rhythm strategy roguelike called Ratatan. Players will take increasingly huge groups of minions through a world in which they need to literally conduct your attacks – hit the rhythm and you’ll stay alive.
Revenge of the Savage Planet is coming to Game Pass on May 8. The new game features dozens of fresh and funny upgrades such as the goo cannon, which allows players to create slippery, sticky or flammable surfaces in the world or a whip that can keep creatures at bay or grapple swing from point to point or lasso a creature to send back to research.
Rockbeasts is a “rock and roll band manager” game where players become the manager of a legendary ’90s band (who just happen to be animals). Players will lead a band of misfits on a roller-coaster ride to stardom in the age of MTV, rock anthems, and bad haircuts. The game will be available for Xbox Series X|S sometime this year.
The new trailer for Tanuki: Pon’s Summer features a look on how players will be performing stunt-filled delivery missions alongside relaxing in its bucolic town – from baseball, to sumo practice, to drumming. The game launches in late 2025 and will be coming to Game Pass.
In Tempopo, players will take on the role of Hana, as she enters a fantasy world where she needs to conduct the titular Tempopo creatures in order to solve puzzles scatterred across he world’s sky islands – before heading back home and cultivating her garden. The game launches on April 17 and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and will be available on Game Pass day one.
In the new trailer for Tron: Catalyst, we got a closer look at protagonist Exo who is fighting for her survival in the arena. An explosive event has gifted Exo the ability to perceive the glitch tearing apart her home, the Arq Grid, and given her the unique ability to loop time itself. The game will feature combat, conversation, and Light Cycle exploration in the city of Vertical Slice. The game will come to Xbox Series X|S on June 17.
Ultimate Sheep Raccon, the chaotic, side-scrolling, bike riding party game will make its way to Game Pass when its released.
Wax Heads has players in charge of running a struggling record store. Players will have to chat with quirky customers with unique tastes, explore a handcrafted record collection, fall in love with bands (and their drama!), or just slack off with your colleagues – whatever gets everyone’s groove back. The game will launch Summer 2026.
In Woodo, which is on its way to Xbox Series X|S, players have to build the story of main characters Foxy and Ben by literally building the world around them. As they pull 3D objects from menus to fill a scene, more of the tale of Foxy and Ben will be revealed.
