In preparation for the release of the latest Hyrule Warriors game in early November, Nintendo has revealed a trailer to show off the gameplay and create hype for what many believe to be the last Legend of Zelda game to share a setting with Breath of the Wild. The trailer, called Unite Against the Demon King, allows players to get a glimpse of some of the improvements that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has made over its predecessor, including a higher framerate and a story more connected to the core games.

The trailer begins by showing off places and items familiar to those who have played Tears of the Kingdom. This is quickly followed by one of the game’s uniquely playable characters, Rauru, discussing the power of the secret stones, and warning about their and other power’s potential for both good and evil. Next, Ganondorf appears, boasting his full power as he did in the final battle of the previous game. Given that Age of Imprisonment will tell the story of the Demon King’s initial downfall, many players are looking forward to seeing more from the iconic character.

The trailer continues by giving players a look into other characters that many wish to see expanded, the four sages. With all four of the previously mysterious characters now playable, this game will serve to flesh out their part to play in Tears of the Kingdom. Finally, the game shows its main character, Princess Zelda, inspiring her companions before joining with them to perform team attacks on groups of enemies. The trailer also shows off additional items available to players that own the previous games in the series, allowing them to access the High Guard’s Sword and Claymore.

The Hyrule Warriors games have improved with each installment, and the latest title promises to continue the trend. The game releases on Switch 2 on November 6th, 2025.
